Robert “Bobby” Hanson, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and professional educator with nearly 30 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, teens, young adults, families, and professionals.
Before launching his private practice, Hanson Therapeutic Solutions, Bobby spent seven years working in a high school on Chicago’s North Shore and five years in a therapeutic school for students in 5th through 12th grade who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Holding Master’s degrees in both Special Education and Social Work, he bridges clinical expertise with a deep understanding of educational systems.
Throughout his career, Bobby has collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams—including BCBAs, PsyDs, OTs, PTs, SLPs, and Child Psychologists—across educational, recreational, and community settings. He specializes in providing affirming, person-centered care, with extensive experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum to achieve meaningful quality-of-life outcomes. Additionally, Bobby provides dedicated support for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as clients navigating anxiety and depression.
